Our Mission

The desire of our corporate body is to see God glorified among the nations as they respond to the gracious gift of the person and work of the Lord Jesus.

While we seek to be involved in & engaged with our local community in Burgaw, we also work for opportunities to share the message of reconciliation internationally.

In an effort to accomplish that task, we strive to be eager in proclaiming, discipling, & multiplying for His glory.

What We Believe

We believe that God has revealed Himself & all that is necessary pertaining to life and godliness. God has made Himself known through creation (General Revelation) (Psalm 19, Romans 1) & more specifically (Special Revelation) through His Word (Hebrews 1, John 1, 2 Timothy 3:16). Due to God’s self revelation we believe that the Bible is without error and is the ultimate authority for life.

We believe that humans are born, as a result of Adam & Eve’s choice in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), sinners. As such, we are separated from God & are, in all actuality, His enemies.

We believe that God, in His infinite sovereignty, wisdom, and grace has made a way for humans to be reconciled to Him – by having our sins paid for & receiving a righteousness that is not our own. That payment and the resulting righteousness are available because Jesus lived a perfect life, satisfying God’s righteous requirements & then gave Himself up for our sake. That great exchange, as highlighted in 2 Corinthians 5:21, is only available by grace through faith & is not something that we can earn by our own efforts (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We believe, that God has called Christ followers to be ministers of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:16-21) & that He has chosen to use the Church to spread the Good News of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 10, etc).
